Yixing in Jiangsu Province is a city as gentle as literati in Jiangnan (regions south of the Yangtze River), charming and elegant. Living in the city, people can experience a flexible and dynamic ambience at any place.

As everyone knows, Yixing is rich in purple clay teapot, or zisha teapot. Literati all the time preferred “quiet” and “plain” characteristics of the teapot because it can offer a tranquil and elegant life for all people. For example, Xu Wei, a talented and proud poet in Ming Dynasty, went to Yixing specially and wrote a poem only for finding a nice teapot.

Staying quiet can calm people down and make them better enjoy the peace and freedom of life.

Keeping plain can offer people a minimalist living style and enable them to experience the pleasure of treating people with virtue.

The designers discarded redundant decorations, extracted local features of Yixing culture and adopted simple lines to embody the charm of “quiet”. Meanwhile, representative colors of teapot are used, like chestnut, grey and red, etc., to produce a plain and elegant environment in an artful combination.
