Shaoxing GALAXY CENTER CITY

Shaoxing, as one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities in China, has a profound historical heritage and is known as "the state of cultural relics and the land of fish and rice". With a history of more than 2,500 years of city-building, it carries the essence of the ancient Yue culture and is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization. This project draws inspiration from local characteristic humanities and natural landscapes in Shaoxing, such as the Jianhu Lake, bridges, mountains, rocks, and trees. Meanwhile, it incorporates elements of building rooftops and combines them with the concept of traditional Chinese architectural windows. This design concept focuses on creating a multi-experience sales center that integrates functionality, a sense of experience, artistry, a sense of identity, and interactivity. With the design style of "Natural Shanghai Style, Harmonious Coexistence, and Natural Realm", it aims to present a symbiotic space that integrates Shanghai-style aesthetics and Shaoxing customs. Design Highlights and Techniques: This project uses naturalistic techniques to create a new "Shanghai - style" aesthetic life in Shaoxing. For example, the installation art "Jin Yun" in the front hall landscape area directly uses textile fabrics as the main element, echoing the industrial characteristics of Keqiao as the core area of China's textile industry, perfectly integrating the local industrial culture and art. The art corridor is created with the atmosphere of a hotel clubhouse. Through metal lamps, array sculpture platforms, and delicate metal details, a high - quality sense of scene is created. In the design, the historical culture of Shaoxing and modern elite life are integrated, showing the combination of Shanghai - style aesthetics and Shaoxing customs. For example, the vase designed by designer CTRLZAK for the brand Seletti in the brand exhibition hall, which combines Eastern and Western styles, reflects the collision of multiple cultures. In terms of space creation, it breaks the boundary between art and life, reshapes the space form, and builds a new experience world for visitors.
