The use of elements from Dunhuang is carried out to fulfill social responsibilities to protect traditional culture. Bestore promises to donate 1 yuan each time a product is sold. The Dunhuang reviving graphic design on the package also helps to spread the meanings of both. 2000-years-old Dunhuang murals are a fatal part of Chinese culture back then. From 1944, the Chinese government started the effort to protect Dunhuang relics yet it stills fading out from modern Chinese memories. Bestore, as one of the biggest leisure food producers in China, has the largest group of young consumers. The reviving Dunhuang gifts box will arouse their interests as it is designed and produced in a modern and finest way. The money will be donated to Dunhuang Authorities once a product is consumed, to fund the protection of the relics.
Meanwhile, the use of recycled paper and wet-pressing pulp and the redevelopment of the structure turn the box into an environmental-friendly container, which consumers will not discard before full use. Coloring is mostly kept in Dunhuang original tone, yet presented in a more bright and festive way. Scattering green and blue are used to enrich the graph. Spot-color printing, gold stamping, and radium aluminate altogether enhance the sense of quality.
