Vestian was appointed as the Design & Build partner to build PwC’s new Learning Centre. The Learning Centre in Hyderabad, spread over 60,000 square feet and is designed to foster knowledge, collaboration and personal growth. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Indian “Gurukul” system, the facility seamlessly blends modern functionality with India’s timeless traditions, creating an enriching environment for continuous learning.
At the entrance, the reception area welcomes visitors with a majestic brass sun installation, a tranquil waterfall and a lotus pond, setting the tone for a serene and inspiring experience. Adjacent spaces like the interview lounge feature rattan ceilings and wooden baffles, reflecting India's rich architectural legacy. The Amphitheatre serves as the centrepiece of the design, embodying the Guru-Shishya relationship. A grand banyan tree surrounded by stepped seating, complemented by swings and cozy coffee points, fosters collaboration and informal interaction.
The design extends its cultural narrative through meeting rooms and focus huts adorned with antique doors and windows. Rangoli patterns and handcrafted bamboo and rattan lights further emphasize Indian traditions, while parametric arches and floral motifs in spaces like the cafeteria and boardroom highlight contemporary elegance.
Sustainability was integral to the project, with IGBC Green Building compliance and the use of locally sourced materials like Dholiya stone. These efforts not only enhanced the design's authenticity but also reduced its environmental impact.
The Learning Centre includes versatile spaces such as a training room adorned with quotes from iconic Indians, capable of transforming into a dynamic townhall. Wellness rooms provide moments of respite, offering employees a chance to recharge in a calming environment.
PwC’s Learning Centre is a testament to Vestian's ability to merge innovation with tradition. Successfully completed in just 128 days, the project stands as a modern day Gurukul, where design, culture, and functionality coalesce to create a unique learning sanctuary.
