Beyond the dream

In a corner of this world, there is a piece of land gently illuminated by the dawn. It transcends the boundaries of reality and is a utopia where souls can live - "The Other Side of Dreams". This project stems from my understanding and care for the endless dreams and pure desires of Palestinian refugee children. I want to use my artistic brushstrokes to create a Utopian world beyond the shadows of war, poverty and displacement, so that the heart of every refugee child can fly freely on this land. My wish is that through this project, more people can pay attention to refugee children, understand their pain and heal their trauma. I hope that there will be no war in the future, but a future full of love and hope, so that "Beyond the dream" is no longer just a fantasy, but a real beauty.

At first, the inspiration for creating this work came from an exhibition about Syrian refugees opened in Guangzhou in 2017. The exhibition showed about 40 paintings drawn by Syrian refugee children. This exhibition hopes to attract social attention to refugee children through this event. When I visited the exhibition, I found that there were many works by post-war children. I found that many children's paintings were not as bloody and cruel as I thought. On the contrary, they showed children's fantasies and hopes for peace. This exhibition inspired my interest in exploring the topic of refugees. I began to think about how I could do my best to make society pay more attention to the group of refugee children. I hope that children's dreams are no longer just drawn on paper, but can really come true. This is the reason why I created the "Beyond the dream" project.
