RENAISSANCE QINGDAO HOTEL

Renaissance Qingdao Hotel is located in the main city of Qingdao, a coastal city in northern China, covering an area of 30,000 square meters. The city, with its long coastline and cultural heritage, provided a lot of inspiration for the design team.
By extracting wave texture elements, geometric figures are formed to represent Qingdao Sea. At the same time, Qingdao played a very important role in China's modern industrial age, so the design team made extensive use of retro mechanical devices to express its urban culture.
From the perspective of travelers, the design team uses film records to present traces of Qingdao's streets, docks, old stations and other cities in each space of the hotel. For example, in the lobby area of the hotel, Qingdao's most important dock culture is used and named "Urban Adventurers". The elements of dock culture, such as the station, the crowd, and the singer, are reflected through the highly saturated colors.
