Glamorous Mansion

Haizhu District, as an old city in Guangzhou, was once a trendy place in the 1990s. Later, it gradually declined due to development, with declining environmental quality, aging facilities, and lack of happiness for residents.
The project is adjacent to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, which ranks third among the eight major art academies in China. It takes only 15 minutes to walk. The area has a strong artistic atmosphere and artistic genes. The project includes an atrium space surrounded by 2 super-high-rise buildings and 1 high-rise building, with an area of ​​about 2,700 square meters. The space is very small, which conflicts with the needs of diversified community activities.
The design takes humanities and art as the core, relying on the life memory of old Guangzhou, to reconstruct the cultural life scene of the old city. Inspired by the spatial structure of oriental gardens, it adopts a spatial nesting method to implant multiple spaces such as water courtyards, floating bridges, forest gathering places, sunken booths, and GUDU children's playgrounds. Through the penetration of the internal and external overhead layers and the matching of local plants, a fresh and natural spatial atmosphere and immersive courtyard experience are created.
The design uses modern language techniques to show a minimalist modern sense from the three aspects of shape, color, and quality. It not only expresses a unique humanistic atmosphere, but also brings a natural experience, creating a trendy art habitat in the market.
The project incorporates unique oriental symbols in details and materials, and uses natural textures in the hard and soft landscapes of the garden, giving the project a unique and charming artistic conception of modern oriental style.
