The 138.8 square meter residence in Qianzhen District, Kaohsiung City was designed for a young couple with aligned sensibilities in lifestyle quality and practicality. Inspired by views of half treescape, half sky, the design adopts a soft grey-green base palette, balanced with cement, steel, and walnut. The foyer column was transformed into a storage unit, while an open study integrates vintage furniture and a terrazzo dining table for the depth of field.
The TV wall features Japanese-imported coffee-ground cement panels with arched steel detailing for tactile precision. The master bedroom uses a rotating wardrobe to streamline circulation and storage. Green building materials and a total heat exchange system reflect environmental concern. Eschewing showy ornamentation, the design instead allows light, material, and openness to shape poetic daily moments—such as sunlight across the study desk.
