This commercial project is located on the ground floor of an office building in Gulou District, Fuzhou. The design team has deeply explored the local living habits of Fuzhou. Through systematic research on the surrounding environment and commercial needs, they cleverly leverage market supporting resources to stimulate potential consumption. The charging station opposite the project has become an important traffic attraction point, providing a place for people waiting for charging to relax, enjoy tea, and purchase tea. At the same time, it caters to the traditional habit of Fuzhou people using tea as a casual gift for business negotiations and visiting relatives and friends, accurately positioning the consumption scenario. During the on-site inspection, the team faced complex spatial structure challenges. As the overhead floor of the office building, the store has many facilities such as fire protection posts and load-bearing columns, which cannot be arbitrarily modified. In response, the design team adopted a differentiated treatment method: wrapping the wall-mounted facilities in cabinets or carrying out modeling decoration; carefully decorating the central column of the space to make it a visual focus and spiritual fortress. Facing the construction difficulties of college entrance examination, senior high school entrance examination, and residential schedule restrictions, the team innovatively adopted a prefabricated assembly plan, completing the production of cabinets, doors, and windows in the suburbs in advance and quickly assembling them on-site to ensure that the construction period was not affected. In the soft decoration link, the team adheres to the principle of reusing old items, moving the tea tables and chairs from the old store to the new store, adding island counters according to the spatial size, and decorating with green plants to add vitality; air conditioning and fresh air equipment also continue to use the facilities of the old store, only re-customizing the air outlets. PU stone veneer is selected to replace the stone decoration on the wall, maximizing resource reuse and achieving a delicate balance between environmental protection and cost control.
