Administration Zone 2&3 Urban Renewal Kindom Development

Situated on the east side of Taipei Main Station, the project integrates nearby commercial, cultural, and administrative resources within one of the city’s rare large-scale blocks. The design strategy spans urban design and renewal, building consensus through consultation with more than a hundred households before successfully launching in 2022.
The project envisions a “triad of administration, residence, and commerce” as the future of the city. Lower levels host diverse public spaces with dining, retail, and commercial amenities that serve office workers, residents, and neighbors alike. A 30-meter-wide multifunctional landscaped plaza in the site’s center links foot traffic between Taipei Main Station and Huashan 1914 Creative Park, activating the area day and night, weekdays and weekends.
The vision extends beyond maximizing floor area or development efficiency. Instead, it emphasizes the revitalization of public space and the creation of a new civic-administrative campus, aiming to become a demonstrative model of urban renewal in Taipei—one that anchors a civic hub of inclusivity and vitality.
