Nestled in Donghu, the lotus-shaped Li Shutong Memorial Hall honors the revered musician, educator, and Buddhist master. From the lakeshore ,eight lotus-petal installations cradle the memorial hall’s curved structure, their form mirroring the building’s lotus shape during the daytime. When night falls, eight installations, housing four floodlights (two 400W, two 180W) with 25°–60° beams, give Moonlit 5000K light projections to the memorial hall. Walking along water-front promenade, people are intoxicated by the memorable custom made landscape lights echoing the memorial hall’s architecture, Looking from distance, the memorial hall is more like the lotus necklace pendant, while custom-made landscape lights gleam like elegant pearls.
The restrained lighting approach ensures nocturnal comfort inside the park, the pavilions, the corridors are lit up sensibly. The big trees are mostly left in shadow. Multi-functional fixtures with sensor systems create firefly-like whimsy for paths. Together with lawn lamp, the park lighting is blending enchantment with function.
The lighting for Baoben Temple park is divided into two sections. The Baoben Pagoda, has long been a lighthouse in the hearts of local people from 13th century. The lighting rejected the conventional layered approach. Fifty-four high-color-rendering floodlights, with beam angles adjusted from 6° to 15° to give the carefully calculated lighting to the pagoda. The poles are hidden among ancient trees to avoid any daytime visual intrusion. Light highlights the pagoda’s details, history, and Zen aura
Walking along waterfront path by the pagoda, people can easily spot the custom Zen-inspired fixtures—warm, grand, echoing prayer flags—they match perfectly with the pagoda, temple, and tea house around , creating a dream-like sense of belonging.
The inside lighting of Baoben Temple is deliberately restrained: only the temple ornate eaves and main hall plaques are lit, leaving roofs and rest parts in shadow. Interior paths stay dim, ensuring safe passage for monks while preserving temple’s calm and solemn
since the designers weave the culture and souls to the illumination, blend the history with the present. Thus the Lighting has graced Donghu with fresh night whispers, they have become the must -go places for visitors.
