This project is located at the core of Tiandong Sector in Chengdu Tianfu New Area. As a condensed work of the district's development, we reconstruct the "natural canyon" imagery from an academic perspective, exploring a sustainable symbiotic paradigm between ecology and technology in high-density cities. With the design concept of "entering the city yet escaping the hustle, hiding elegance within", it creates a super interface that combines urban iconicity and ecological resilience.
1.Spatial Sequence and Ecological Intervention
Cutting-edge Interface: The entrance features an ecological cliff based on the original landform texture, juxtaposed with a transparent 11-meter-high frameless ultra-white glass curtain wall, forming a strong nature-technology dialogue. The high-performance glass system maximizes the introduction of landscapes, reduces energy consumption from artificial lighting, and realizes passive climate regulation.
Core Hub: The hotel-style lobby serves as a space converter, its luxurious texture stemming from precise control over materials, light and shadow, and human scale, integrating efficient circulation and low-energy environmental control systems.
Immersive Experience: The sunken clubhouse skillfully utilizes the topographic height difference, embedding functional volumes into the natural cliff like "ecological capsules". Through themed courtyards such as "Twilight Forest" and "Under-rock Space", combined with local vegetation and rain gardens (Holiday Water Courtyard, Waterfall Eaves Corridor), it creates a microclimate system with rich biodiversity, significantly reducing the heat island effect and improving environmental comfort.
2.Sustainable Materials and Construction Techniques
The facade abandons resource-consuming luxury, and instead adopts an environmentally friendly stone and recycled metal composite system evaluated through life cycle assessment. Parametric simulation is used to optimize component proportions and joints, ensuring that the facade texture presents iconicity in order.
The precise overlapping of metal and stone is not only a carrier of light and shadow art, but also forms a self-shading system, responding to Chengdu's sunshine conditions and reducing cooling loads. Material selection focuses on localization and recyclability to reduce embodied carbon.
