When Chongqing’s passionate and fiery meets MUJI’s natural simplicity, it gives rise to a spatial narrative—“Interwoven Mountains.” for Flagship Store in Chongqing Paradise Walk. Drawing from local culture, the design is shaped by three metaphors: Kǎn (staggered levels), Zhī (weaving), and Biān (braiding)—fusing topography, intangible heritage, and material aesthetics. The entire space is built with eco-friendly materials: biodegradable felt, recycled cork, rusted steel, and sustainable bricks. It carries the warmth of daily life and the spirit of the future, preserving the city’s memory while promoting sustainability.
