Drawing core inspiration from "Shu embroidery" (Sichuan's traditional embroidery art), the landscape design for Greentown PHOENIX MANSION spans 101 mu, treated as an "embroidery hoop" to craft a spatial layout of "one axis, two gardens, and sixteen parks."
Along the central axis, pergolas with diagonally interlacing structures mimic threads shuttling through fabric, while mirror-like water features reflect the branches of bald cypresses—echoing the "interlaced and overlapping" texture unique to Shu embroidery. In the Sun Garden, diamond-faceted light fixtures and zigzagging water flows weave a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow.
The Children's Playground in the South Garden extracts curvilinear patterns from Shu brocade to create dynamic activity spaces; the North Garden, through modular fitness gardens, farming plots, and healing gardens, interweaves the textures of nature with daily life.
Overall, plants like camphor trees and jacarandas serve as "embroidery threads," and light and shadow as "golden threads." The design infuses Chengdu's Zen tranquility and the literary elegance of Du Fu's Thatched Cottage into everyday life, turning the journey home into an unfolding Shu embroidery scroll—ultimately composing a poetic woodland residence where nature and humanity intertwine.
