Huafa Hongqiao Parkland is located in the core area of Zhaoxiang Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai. The project extends the "interwoven waterways" spatial texture of Zhaoxiang, blending modern Shanghai urban living to create a high-end, artistic, refined, resort-style garden community in the city.
The sales gallery breaks the stereotype of traditional sales gallery by integrating with the surrounding commercial space. Through multisensory experiences—lighting, landscape, scent, texture, and sound—it moves beyond conventional displays, emphasizing user engagement and interaction. This approach highlights the brand’s product features while strengthening the connection between the exhibition space and the brand identity.
The site originally featured ornate street-facing Shikumen buildings—symbols of Shanghai’s "home gate"—built in 1915 as a tailor shop and pawnshop. These structures embodied Shanghai-style culture, Shikumen alleyways, historical photos, and urban memories. The project reinterprets Shikumen, a uniquely Shanghai architectural style blending Eastern and Western influences, often seen as an emblem of the city’s modern urban heritage. Design elements like columns and gates are echoed in the metal grille walls of the reception and display area. Material finishes include Niccolo Stone walls, Fendi Grey marble flooring, accented with Bvlgari Black marble and metal frames, creating a versatile, modern Shanghai-style sales gallery.
