Hail Virtual Museum

The Hail Virtual Museum is an innovative digital initiative that aims to boost tourism and facilitate visitors to the region's most prominent landmarks through an immersive interactive experience that connects the past to the present using the latest virtual reality technologies. The project was developed using the Unreal Engine to build a 3D environment that simulates the atmosphere of Hail's heritage in all its details, including historical sites, handicrafts, and ancient inscriptions, with the adoption of Meta Quest 3 glasses that give the visitor the opportunity to enter this world and wander in it as if they were actually living the event.
The experience is supported by local sound effects and introductory displays that provide information and clips about the heritage and the Authority's development projects, and the museum is displayed inside the lobby of the Hail Region Development Authority to be a modern digital interface that reflects the cultural identity and keeps pace with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The museum also allows visitors to immerse themselves in 360° panoramic images that make them experience the details of each archaeological monument as if they were actually inside it, in addition to the feature of interacting with the artifacts that enable them to hold them virtually, rotate them, and get to know their details up close. These features make the experience more realistic, transforming the museum into an integrated and unprecedented digital journey that reflects the authenticity of Hail with an innovative modern spirit.
