Using “stars” as a central visual motif, the Fanxin Series features a solid walnut drawer front carved in star patterns. The combination of vintage green and golden-brown Burmese teak creates a striking color contrast that seamlessly blends different styles.
The cabinet features concealed connectors and lamino joinery, with 45-degree mitered edges, effectively concealing the hardware and creating smooth, flowing lines reminiscent of star trails. This design not only enhances the visual cleanliness but also optimizes structural stability through mechanical refinement. The interior is designed for flexibility: adjustable shelves allow for the storage of various items, from books and clothing to accessories. The inner drawer frames and back panels are covered with teak-colored multilayer lacquer-free solid wood panels with no raw wood exposed.
Using a direct-to-substrate veneering process, the cabinet is made mainly from AAA-grade 50-micron thick Burmese teak with black sections finished in imported solid white oak veneer. The surfaces are sanded and brushed to bring out the natural wood grain that flows like the Milky Way. The series also employs the Italian technique of edge-sealing before veneering, combined with 80-micron natural wood veneer and German PUR adhesive for a seamless finish with no glue marks. This process also enhances the cabinet’s water and moisture resistance to five times that of EVA material. The surface is coated with high-end, scratch-resistant water-based lacquer from Zhanchen, whose self-repairing and heat-resistant properties keep the cabinet looking as flawless and new as the day it was finished.
