CD CONCERT LIVE

Located in the heart of Chengdu’s southern district, CD CONCERT LIVE merges retro aesthetics with cutting-edge intelligent lighting technology to reinterpret the modern LiveHouse experience. Guided by the concept “Light as Experience,” the project transforms light from a mere functional element into an emotional medium that narrates rhythm, atmosphere, and audience engagement, creating a truly multi-sensory performance environment.
At the core of the design is the Uniimport UIP Smart Lighting System, integrating Bluetooth Mesh and PLC hybrid networks for real-time scene control. The system synchronizes lighting, sound, and motion through a variety of equipment—including 1800–4000K dual-color spotlights, RGBW dynamic light strips, low-frequency vibration speakers, and customized interactive fixtures. The result is a fluid visual performance where illumination and rhythm pulse in harmony, amplifying both the artist’s energy and audience participation.
A highlight of the space is the custom “Spotlight Device,” an interactive lighting installation embedded in the audience area. When a user presses the activation switch, the beam focuses downward, the seat vibrates gently to the music’s bass, and surrounding lights dynamically shift with tempo changes. This tactile, participatory feature transforms the traditional spectator experience into an immersive emotional exchange between performer and audience, deepening engagement and collective resonance.
The spatial palette emphasizes refined material contrasts and atmospheric layering—semi-transparent red acrylic panels, brushed stainless steel, and frosted glass create a visually complex interplay of reflection and diffusion. Carefully calibrated lighting temperatures balance the nostalgic warmth of the space with modern brightness, while RGB light films and ultra-thin COB strips subtly define circulation paths and transitions between zones.
Through the seamless integration of intelligent systems, sensory interaction, and material artistry, CD CONCERT LIVE demonstrates how light can serve as both narrative and emotional medium. It elevates the conventional LiveHouse from a performance venue into a participatory cultural experience—one that blurs the boundaries between art, technology, and human connection, setting a new benchmark for immersive nightlife design in China’s urban landscape.
