The project is located in the Qingshan Binjiang Business District of Wuhan, situated in the heart of the Yangtze River shoreline, endowed with unique waterfront characteristics and urban interface potential. The design adopts the narrative theme of “River City Blossoms · Shanghai-Style Modernism,” systematically integrating Wuhan’s distinctive waterfront ecological texture to create a landscape sequence with strong local identity, enhancing the continuity and legibility between the city and nature.
The overall design revolves around three natural dimensions, River Charm, Forest Charm, and Floral Charm, integrating multidimensional elements such as visual guidance, movement flow, microclimate regulation, and emotional experience. This forms a three-dimensional landscape system encompassing the entrance ceremonial space, sunken courtyard, and blooming garden, achieving a spatial translation and localized reinterpretation of Shanghai-style lifestyle aesthetics.
The entrance area draws inspiration from classic Bulgari hotel designs, featuring a circular homecoming pathway and approximately 8-meter-high double-sided grand gates that create a strong visual anchor. Combined with the “Core of Brilliance” sculpture installation, it crafts a first-impression space with ceremonial grandeur and spatial tension. Within the courtyard, an 8-meter-high blue emerald luxury stone water wall, with its material texture and dynamic water features, presents “golden sprinkles” or “flowing silver” light effects as sunlight shifts, notably enhancing the subtlety and immersiveness of spatial perception, serving as a visual focal point and emotional trigger.
In the sunken courtyard, three approximately 9-meter-high Chinese tallow trees form the core arboreal framework, defining vertical spatial order with their upright posture. Floating island greenery, tiered water features, and suspended stepping stones collectively weave the spatial imagery of a “floating forest”, fostering an organic symbiosis between architecture and natural water systems, reinforcing the ecological resilience and intimate ambiance of the place.
