Designed by MOZ SPACE, AUTHOR X starts from the realities of private life and interprets the relationship between people and their home through the metaphor of a pearl protected by its shell. This relationship is translated through an abstract, art-driven approach, forming a residential system structured around multi-sensory experience.
Along the arrival sequence, scent, light, and material tactility work together to facilitate emotional transition. In the dining and living areas, enveloping furniture curves combined with stone and textile materials establish a sense of physical comfort and security. In the study, acoustic design works in dialogue with furniture scale to enhance focus and immersion. Art is not displayed as an isolated object, but positioned along everyday paths of use, becoming part of the rhythm of daily life.
Through this systematic soft furnishing strategy, the space does not reach completion at a single moment, but gradually takes form through continuous use, perception, and memory.
The innovation of AUTHOR X lies in its proposal to treat the home as a protective spatial structure, alongside an integrated understanding of soft furnishing systems within high-end residential design.
By controlling spatial scale, softening interface conflicts, and introducing flexible functional zones—such as the X Space—the residence is able to adapt to future changes in lifestyle. At the same time, furniture, art, and atmospheric elements are developed as part of the spatial logic, rather than applied as decorative additions.
At the level of implementation, furniture curvature, material tactility, scent, acoustics, and lighting are designed in coordination to establish a stable and continuous multi-sensory experience. Dining tables, kitchen islands, living room furniture, and art installations together form the core settings of everyday life, allowing art to participate in living rather than remain an object of observation. This approach responds to contemporary needs for emotional security and mental relaxation in the home.
