The design adopts a modern minimalist style, creating an immersive space where exterior, interior, and furniture harmoniously blend. It celebrates the inherent beauty of the architecture, using orderly layouts and natural spatial flow to create a relaxed and free living atmosphere.
The overall design emphasizes both aesthetics and functionality. Main surfaces use light crystal sand and dark grey sand dual-veneer panels; the former provides a warm light tone while the latter creates visual contrasts, together creating a layered and harmonious atmosphere. The back panels feature UV-printed colorful shell patterns, inspired by the hues of fan-shaped peacock feathers. Using pleating and layering techniques, the design adds a dynamic and artistic flair to the walls. The wood grain finishes offer a warm, minimalist, and refined texture, making it suitable for various styles including modern minimalist and light luxury. The handles draw on the spaceship wing element from the Roche Bobois World Travel Collection, highlighting international design aesthetics. Bullnose-edge melamine-faced boards are extensively used in the design, breaking away from the conventional constraints of traditional panels. Bullnose edges with radii ranging from R36 to R400, from living room suspended structures, entryway beveled corners, master bedroom feature walls, and bay window edges, achieve seamless transition between curved and flat surfaces, softening the angularity of the space for enhanced safety and comfort.
The spatial layout balances practical function and visual appeal. The living room TV cabinet employs layered diagonal panels to introduce a sense of lightness, while the sofa feature wall combines diagonal panels with contrasting color blocks to break visual monotony. The study is tailored for film, music, and photography enthusiasts, integrating USM modules with acrylic shelves to provide practical storage and display while introducing a fashionable punk style.
