Dalian Palace Lake Landscape Design

Located in Dalian city, surrounded by the yellow sea and the bohai sea, the palace lake holds a great position. However the lake is not in a good condition, problems remain such as poor water quality, revetment damage and untrimmed plants.
We draw inspiration from ‘The Peach Blossom Spring’, create four main space, linked by ‘seek’, ’arrive’, ’look around’, ‘overlook’ four landscape nodes, to rebuild an absorbing new Chinese Style Garden.
Seeking The Peach Blossom Spring
The entrance space is designed to present an unartificial frame. Walking on the winding stepping stone, we can feel the variation space. Even a puddle of water, a slice of rock can make a scene. Tracking the stream, the sound of water disappeared, reappearing again. Along the stream, rubble stone is naturally stack up to let water slowly flow out.
Arrived at the open field
Traveling through the great lawn, surrounded by plantation, a bright sense may arise. Walking along the path in woodland, you can see the entrance right here, decorated by multiple layers of vegetation. Grilling and moon gate are used in the entrance hall to make a intriguing shadow change.
Traveling through the stone forest
A pavilion is built for viewing, recreation and reception. Wood material and grilling are used to create a pleasant environment.
Lakeside overlook
Outdoor wooden platform can be a good place to meet friends. Qifeng pavilion absorbs the essence of Song aesthetics, using simple line and classic color, is designed to unite with peacock reservation, which symbolize propitious to bring good luck to householders.
Dalian Palace Lake is aiming to build a community posses Song aesthetics and the spirit of ‘The Peach Blossom Spring’. Working on both construction quality and service system, we will present a new Chinese style garden to householders.
