Xiamen is one of the most famous coastal cities at home and abroad. This case is designed mainly on the basis of the "water“ element, while incorporating the keywords of "cross-border" and "luxuries". The eastern quarter of the case is made up of map plates for all the continents and countries to embody the features of “cross-border commodities”, along with the designs of ocean currents and fish stocks. The central island area is constituted of hollow geometric splices that are placed at the ceiling, featuring simple modeling to enhance the sense of hierarchy of the space. The "ocean currents" in the accessory area represent commodity circulation, and are materialized with wave-shaped walls. The ceiling, in the form of irregular cuts, expresses the "map plates", breaking the dull boundaries of the ceiling and adding fun. The map plates represent cross-border commodities from all over the world, and the swimming "fish" devices stand for a wealth of cross-border commodities.
The southern quarter is incarnated in the form of water waves, and the undulating ceiling makes the space look flexible and inspirational. The blue and white space, embellished with bright yellow, brings a sense of freshness. The swimming fish devices hanging under the ceiling extend from the eastern quarter. This coherent design, combined with the space atmosphere of the southern quarter, makes people feel as if they are moving in an undersea world. The swimming fish and waves compose a dynamic picture, and also indicate that water way is the most important for transportation of cross-border commodities.
