As an aircraft carrier class complex of a volume of 830,000 m3 in Hangzhou, the Zhongrong Bluetown Complex City is positioned to be a gallery of diverse lifestyles facilitating the life, entrepreneurship, social contact and entertainment of the young people. Situating itself between the West Lake and the Qiantang River and thanks to its own natural endowment, the Complex City, surrounded by a strong atmosphere of science and technology innovation and arts institutes, provides an ideal site of living for the young people. The most touching point of the design essentially sourced from the local culture and the geographical position as well as the treatment of these elements.

The surging torrents were drawn as the drifting lines in the space. The top-down, outside-in tiered arc profiles, like waves going ashore slowly from the remote sea, remind the visitors with an oversized structure and the rhythm of advancing and retreating tidal water that they are stepping into a fantastic journey featuring different phases of moon over the river.

The built-in spray-shaped stainless steel LED breathing lights indicate the shapelessness and splendor of life and set off the universe like a living being that can breathe. A luminous zone is set at the side of the streamline and corrugations on the wall of the scenic area, like the surging Qiantang River billowing strongly and stirring the mobile souls in the still space.

The sofa pack in the shape of two polar bears made from different materials, one created by Milan designer Francesco Binfare and the other by artist Paola Pivi, forms the dialogue relation of two bears in different living conditions, advocating that people should pay attention to both themselves and the natural conditions. The modern, new school of life aesthetics should also center on exploring the tendency of future living.
