Shaoxing Honour Finance Center

This development is located at the Lake east of Jinghu. Is a mixed-use project including shopping mall, office, hotel and residential towers. The design concept integrates unique elements from the nature and architecture, transforming the linear language and spirit into the landscape design. The retail blocks are interconnected through an landscape axis by means of inner retail streets to stimulate and bring through the commercial vitality. The sunken plaza and the stacked space are connected to create a natural sunken landscape. The site hardscape design concept echoes with the linear elements, inspired by the traditional Chinese painting. The smooth strokes of traditional ink and the gradual dimming of shades express the vision of Chinese landscape painting that integrates natural landscape and is transformed into pavement design to create a unique and varied space. The commercial atrium combines retail spaces with undulating terrain and interactive elements , stimulating the community business circle. The design of themed sculptures are used to strengthen the connection between the two retail blocks. Office plots are provided with characteristic landscape wall and water features to create a delicate landscape environment.

The landscape design of the residential plots is inspired by Southeast Asian nature, the landscape design of Shaoxing Residences reflects Shaoxing’s city character in a modern approach to creates a unique integration for both relaxing and lively space. The landscape elements are formed by reinterpreting the character of various orchid which is the city’s flower of Shaoxing as the DNA of design and implemented through all six residential plots creating an exclusive characteristic on each of them. Combining clean, formal and dynamic lines along with the mixture of texture and materials, hardscape colour pallets are light and simple. Different shades of warm colour form the main theme with bronze accent. Various pavilion design and feature elements are introduced on each plot in emphasizing the unique Southeast Asian culture while the planting pallets are based on the four seasons species with natural arrangement to establish the ambiance of the theme in order to provide a historical city model which is based on cultural and site context.
