55# Model House, No. 3 Yingbin Road, Zhengzhou

Inspired by the design principles of minimalism and contemporary architecture, the designers carefully considered the structures, site location and client demands, aiming to create a quiet, comfortable and aesthetic spatial atmosphere through the connection between light and nature.

The daylighting of the two floors below ground is not ideal, but the design team saw it as a challenge, not a disadvantage. A double-height hollow space was ingeniously created, in order to introduce natural light to the basement levels, and at the same time to bring more diversified views.

The spatial layout draws inspiration from the "free plane" and "free facade" of Le architecture, blurs the boundaries between functional areas, and rendered the space flexible, free and unrestrained. Moving between different scenes is the pursuit and enjoyment of beauty beyond function.

Simple elements and natural materials are used to create a plain, harmonious space. The light wood tone appears simple, but it adds an elegant touch to the space and quietly calms the mind.

With respect to structures, the designers retained the original expressions of the columns as much as possible, hence making the living environment more pure. The essence of design is not to imitate nature, but to express nature, to find the most authentic beauty of nature and restore it.

The spatial structures integrate the original appearance of materials and concise forms, while connecting the circulations and clues of the space, so that the occupants' body and mind can be relaxed to the maximum extent. Respect for human beings and reverence for natural materials are future lifestyle trends, and also the design concept advocated by the designers.

The space was conceived in a fastidious manner. Every detail caters to dwellers' and thoughts and life. The spatial experience, the interpretation of its character and the presentation of lifestyle, all boil down to the expression of the concept of“returning to the simple elegance”.
