Client's Name

Devan's South Indian coffee & Tea Pvt.

Country / Region

United States

The products are stand-up pouches of 500 g for roasted coffee beans/powder and cold brew boxes that have been designed for retail. Though scientific data on climate is publicly available, climate changes have come to be largely viewed as a polarizing political topic, rather than the existential threat that it is.

When I was approached for rebranding by Devan’s, I saw it as an opportunity to create general awareness among people about the effects of climate change on the flora and fauna, through the medium of these coffee packs. The challenge was to correlate it with the product, for which I created a graph whereby the strength of each coffee correlates to the conservation status of the animals as per the IUCN red list. The stronger the coffee, the more critical the conservation status of the animal is. The back of the pack also talks about the future of coffee, species & its vulnerability.
