This work can be divided into the plaza floor art, the parking lot railing beautification, columns on both sides of the visitor center, and the exterior beautification. The theme of the work “Circle, Origin, Source” represents different meanings. “Concentric Circle” --self-identity, I exist as I am; “Aboriginal Origin” -- local art and culture, I am home with ease; “Origin of Creation” -- return to the truth, ecological harmony. These elements are stacked and wrapped around the concentric circle in layers to show the cultural and living belonging. The Rinari tribe gathers the Paiwan and Rukai tribe members from the Majia tribe in Majia Township, the Haocha tribe in Wutai Township, and the Dashe tribe in Sandimen Township. After the typhoon, the tribesmen left their old settlements and relocated, trying to get over the tragedy; they tried to keep their heads above water and turned the will into strength to rebuild their homes. The artist tried to transform the spiritual blessing and encouragement to his works by using dialogue between the space environment and the work as the main idea. The completed piece expresses the aboriginal culture, the origin of totems, the ecological, world, and philosophical views of the Paiwan tribesmen, and the friendly relationship between people and nature as a part of life, giving hope to the people towards the future.
