MANTA - Hydrogen eBike

In today society where technology growth exponentially, the most exciting task is to imagine and design new ways to move around, which can make our life just better, easier and cleaner. TO.TEM transformative purpose is: "Moving people for and easier life".

We looked for a way to use a tech that is green by definition: hydrogen. We imagined how we can leverage fuel cell propulsion and implemented it in the most beautiful and simple vehicle out there: the bike.

Throughout our research we learned that despite the inspiring combination of 0 emission energy with top performance, long-range usage, and fast refuelling time, people express mixed emotions when it comes to using hydrogen as a fuel.

We set an ambitious goal of designing a commuting H2 e-bike which is safe, clear, and inspired by nature to give the best experience of commuting calmly, comfortably and fluently. An e-bike which is more rigid and trustable than average e-bike, but lighter and easier than a city commuter.

We took inspiration from the ocean, where water is air for life underwater, and it is also the only side effect of using hydrogen fuel cell: water. This is MANTA, the H2 eBike which comes from nature and looking towards inspiring future. MANTA eBike concept pushes the boundary of micromobility: 1)it's green and leverages refillable H2 bottles 2) will have a fuel cell in its body 3) It will be made of 3D printed carbon fiber to optimizes structural strength while being light 4) leverages TO.TEM collision alert technology with a rear looking camera that uses Artificial Intelligence to notify users about dangerous situation 5) will uses predictive maintenance algorithms to avoid disruptions and to track components to get them back at end of life, introducing a circular economy approach. MANTA is born from the Tech startup TO.TEM and from Punch Hydrocells expertise in Hydrogen. Manta will be available in Pedelec and Speed-Pedelec versions, the last one available with pedals relax mode. MANTA is targeted to be a premium product, highly technological to bring H2 tech to the micromobility and later to mass micromobility market
