The project is located in Pukou District, Nanjing, with a landscape area of 6000 square meters and a landscape cost of 1000 RMB per square meters. Initially, the goldenrain tree and camphor preserved on the site are beautiful; therefore, we plan to reconstruct the site on the basis of preserving the original ecology there. We strive to intervene in the site in a "humble" way and adapt to local conditions. The site features its own spirit. Only in this way can it not be destroyed, and the spirit of the site can be preserved to the greatest extent. Therefore, we began to think about how to respect nature, find appropriate ways and suitable materials so as to develop a strong relationship between human, the site and nature. This is what we mainly think about.

The first and most important thing is to preserve the original trees on the site. On this basis, original trees give the landscape design a natural frame. The design team also carefully thought about the elevation, and used the raised waterscape to embrace the original goldenrain trees to form tree holes, and the structural system kept away from the root system at utmost, and the entire water surface was supported by an overhead structure, which protected the original tree species from being destroyed.

Keep the memory of the original site, listen to goldenrain tree and camphor tree to tell the story of the site's past, and being in it, then the unique spirit of the site has emerged.
