Our client came to us with a brief for packaging that oozes a premium look and feel and something that the client wouldn't want to dispose of. The brief was to design a luxury box for two premium brand launches that will go live on August 1st so this is hot off the press. Their premise and ethos is all about scarcity and premium products and the wanted the product to have a low carbon footprint and be sustainable and reusable. They wanted the design to be functional so it could flatpack but also a beautiful piece that could fit under the bed and be used as storage so it has a life after the whole experiential factor of receiving this gift. To protect the integrity of the brand and give the recipient the premium feel of engaging with the brand, they wanted the end result to look and feel classic, simple and most importantly the brand packaging would reinforce the sleek lines, elegance and premium nature of the product.
They wanted to remove the need for tape or return strips and the packaging to stand alone as an item in its own right that the recipient would want to keep or pass on. The closures are hidden magnetic buttons. All elements were incorporated into the design from the in-built pocket envelope for personalised messaging to on brand tissue and even the tags reinforced the brand tags that are on the actual product. Every aspect of the brand experience oozes design and reinforces their brand message of premium, luxury, scarcity, and innovation.
