Hemankind

Hemankind aim to offer humankind a brand-new lifestyle that is suitable for anyone to co-exist harmoniously with the environment in a sustainable way. Our new project, HEMankind, is a new concept embodied in the form of a uniquely designed boat that is totally customisable for any types of residence or business based on users’ varied needs such as a holiday villa, a fitness centre, a temporary shelter for refugees, or a movable personal office.





(The structure encompasses four parts which are separable. First, the rooftop is covered with solar panels to collect sunlight as the energy source for the whole architecture. Second, the top floor can be used as a recreational space combined with a garden where the plants can grow and sustain themselves. Third, the pivotal part of the architecture serves as the spaces that can be flexibly planned by users. Lastly, the bottom part is designed for the storage where the users install and store their power system and other facilities and equipment; also, it serves as a shelter and lifeboat that can detach itself from the parts above when encountering an emergency also use of tides to generate electricity, so that sustainable green energy can be combined with life.





The original idea derives from my experience living in Sweden for several years.Hem is Swedish,which means home. The resonance with the cross-cultural impact and infusion between immigrants and Swedish locals and with appreciates the values and the spirit of inclusion held by Swedish society. No matter where ones came from, they will be accepted to their new home. This is why the concept is named HEMankind, in other words, the home for mankind, because we are seeking a new form of living that could be more suitable for human beings in the near future. While nowadays some parts of the world are just overpopulated and filled with turmoil, HEMankind offers the possibility to have stable living on the sea in harmony with the natural environment and its ecosystems.
