Reflection of Serenity

This case is designed for retired owners located in front of riverside wetland in a high-rise building. Merging the tidiness of modern style with the vacation atmosphere of hotel decoration, a residence that serves both the role of elderly care and welcoming guests is crafted. By adding rich layers to the design through multiple materials combined, the designer creates a generous feeling to the overall space. Then decorates each room with noble colors to add in low-key luxury vibe, breaking away from the stereotypical imagination of modern style design.



The entryway floor boundary was drawn by hexagon tiles. Next to it are the living room and dining table which can be seen as soon as entering the house. These three areas are integrated in an open way to meet the needs of the owner’s hospitality. Low-saturated purple sofa over blue carpet with gold chandelier hanging on the ceiling together bring out that luxurious hotel atmosphere but also preserve the feeling of home. The whole marble TV wall draws the outline of the living room, adding a stable atmosphere to the entire space.



In the master room, big amount of dark brown wooden texture was used to make it feel warmer and relaxing. Other color choosing maintains the same style as the living room. Purple on the wall to echo the consistency of the overall design. Lower saturated yet highborn color combination on bed to present classiness. The guest room is also decorated with purple and blue, but the color is livelier.



With caretaking as the main design approach, this case is installed with energy recovery ventilation system, dehumidification system, epidemic prevention concept alongside its already-exiting residential functions. At the entrance there’s the ventilation negative space, alcohol spray and thermometer. Security cameras and smart housing system are installed so that family members can watch the surroundings of the home through the Internet. The homeowner can also use sound to control appliances, curtains, and dehumidification of the whole house and other healthy environment quality equipment.
