CHI-TORCH Interior Design
In the ever-changing world of technology, CACO is hoping to implant touches of technology elements to the brand’s existing image for its brand strategy and positioning. An unprecedented “timeline” has therefore been created for the conflicting beauty. Situated in the most bustling downtown area, how would CACO distinguish itself from all the hottest brands in the shopping battleground? Implanting innovative elements while keeping the brand’s original spirits, the “timeline” concept was naturally born. It is a breakthrough design that both inherits the past and travels to the future. With a basement and a first-floor space that is covered with building pipes, the store faces the challenge of extremely low ceiling, multiple columns, and poor lighting with single opening of an old long-shaped house. To exhibit a timeline concept and to attract customers’ attention, the overall store layout utilizes a differential impression of slope and curvature. Ambience of futuristic and cold technology intertwines with the brand’s original rough wood patterns, inherently bringing an area of changing timelines. The entrance brings technology, speed, and avant-garde silver-grey wall to integrate with the yellow neon light that represents CACO. People would easily recognize the brand, yet they might also find it afresh and urged by their curiosity decide to push the gate and enter the store. Right away, the brand’s original rough wood patterns in warm Californian atmosphere give customers an amiable welcome. Walking a bit further into the store is a strikingly white, cold, silver technology space, as if you are walking from the past and moving towards the future. Through the reflecting mirror at the furthest corner, wood patterns from the past are once again brought back in. A coordinated mix of fantasy and reality fabricates the atmosphere of the space.
