Fengxitai, Chongqing

The project is located in Jinfeng Cluster within Chongqing's high-tech zone, backed by Science Park and facing the "urban living room" of Science City. Adjacent to Fintech Center and Kexue Avenue in the high-teach zone, it enjoys a complete traffic network and convenient transportation, making it the absolute core of the future high-tech zone.

For this project, the designers want to redefine life quality and aesthetic standards. Based on in-depth insight into existing residential developments, the team intervenes in the site in line with plot conditions. Through architectural form optimization and atmosphere creation, the designers intend to create a quality, iconic residential community in the high-tech zone.

Under aviation height limitation and the requirement of minimizing the cost of earthwork excavation, the design team creates varying building heights in a terraced manner, to integrate the buildings into urban fabrics and form a scattered skyline. In addition to organizing buildings in accordance with the terrain, the river view is brought into the community to meet occupants' expectation of embracing river scenery through windows.

Relying on favorable site conditions, this project integrates architectural space with natural landscape. Based on the site's terrain, buildings are organized in a stepped way on the plot, to blend into landscape, create a truly leisurely and ideal living environment. In terms of architectural form, the design team adopts minimalist design languages and incorporates contemporary popular elements on the basis of preserving traditional aesthetics. Aluminum plates and profiles accentuate elegant and exquisite "lines"; transparent ultra-white glass forms the entrance interface that interweaves lines and planes, the virtual and the real. The design weakens the heaviness of architecture and makes it more lightweight and stylish.
