Smoked duck breast „la Dame“ is a premium duck product coming from the Royal Duck family, whose exceptionality refers to a total free range ducks raised in an organic, sustainable and ethical way of farming followed by a professional and passionate craftsmanship. Since Royal Duck brand is defined as a premium brand with high production standard, the design goal was to introduce consumer with company's artisanal values through fancy and elegant combination of colours and characters. The most iconic illustration on top of the packaging, fairy tale lady – the classy Duck, is offering you a warm welcome in her renaissance dress, framed with a vintage gold border worthy of a nobleman, that decently complements the golden brown skin of smoked duck cleavage, subtly showing from a small window hole. A dose of classicism is highlighted with matte black background, which allows the key elements of packaging to come to the first plan. La Dame Duck is a serious parody – she communicates the brand name itself in a witty yet deliberate way. Back panel of the packaging is maximally utilized covering not only essential informations about product and company, but also a visual story about the production concept which positively affects consumer's awareness before even trying the product. The ultimate packaging design goal was to direct customer's apprehension towards seeing the product in the manner it should be seen – as an edible luxury.
