Landscape Conceptual Design of Guanggang Park

Guanggang Park is an urban regeneration project where was Guangzhou Steelwork， with a 70-year history. It has become a historical heritage exhibition park through transformation and functional replacement. In the design, requirements from the citizens, government and enterprises are taken in to consideration, and the industrial heritages on the site are preserved and respected to the greatest extend. The design highlight has three main characteristics: Firstly, the park operation and space design are integrated with the landscape thinking, therefore the reasonable function and format layout have been realized. Secondly, the landscape design is systematic, thereby three park systems include central energy network, energy hub ring and happiness band carrier have been structured, and cover diverse landscape scenarios like slow-walking system, heritage exhibition and pocket gardens. Thirdly, strict control of design is the basic rule of this design, therefore the memory of the site is preserved perfectly. Which could help the site reach a good balance between the heritage, ecology and vitality.
