LIUXIANGYUAN Villa

Liuxiangyuan Villa is based on the exterior form of Huizhou-style architecture, with interiors blending neo-Chinese and modern styles, aiming to create a residential space that integrates Eastern artistic conception with contemporary comfort. The exterior continues the classical vocabulary of Huizhou architecture, using blue-tiled roofs, white walls, horse-head gables, carved window lattices, and courtyard water features to recreate the elegant charm of traditional architecture. The interior, however, breaks away from traditional layouts, reconstructing the spatial structure with modern techniques, optimized for natural lighting and ventilation. Within an area of 800m², the living functions are rationally planned to achieve a unity of aesthetics and practicality.

Design Innovation

The design focuses on the contemporary reinterpretation of architectural vocabulary, a dialogue between classical and modern spatial atmospheres, and the integrated expression of materials and colors. The exterior refines and reinterprets Huizhou elements, preserving the formal essence while endowing the building with a concise, modern volumetric relationship. Guided by the concept of "blending classical and contemporary," the interior adopts an open layout in public areas, paired with neo-Chinese furniture and ink-textured finishes, while introducing modern materials such as glass and metal to dissolve the heaviness of traditional spaces, creating a transparent and lightweight ambiance.

In terms of functional planning, the master suite incorporates a Chinese-inspired atmosphere, while the children's room adopts a modern style, demonstrating an age-appropriate design logic. The color strategy uses neutral tones as a base, accented with traditional hues such as deep cyan and vermilion, both echoing the restrained elegance of the Huizhou exterior and injecting dynamic layers into the space. Through structural optimization and detailed control, the overall design achieves a harmonious coexistence of traditional aesthetics and modern living.
