About The Entry

The Scan Global Logistics Shanghai Office is designed as the regional headquarters for a rapidly expanding international logistics company. The project translates SGL’s global vision, operational efficiency, and people-centered culture into a contemporary and cohesive workplace environment. The design concept draws from the principles of connectivity, transparency, and flow—spatial metaphors that echo the seamless movement of goods and information across SGL’s global logistics network. A clear organizational logic structures the floorplan into well-defined zones, including reception, social hub, open and enclosed offices, multi-sized meeting rooms, collaboration corners, and technical support areas. The planning efficiently accommodates approximately 279 employees from departments such as sea freight, air freight, sales, railway, finance, HR, IT, and management, ensuring both operational clarity and streamlined circulation. The reception area sets a confident and international tone while expressing the professionalism of SGL’s global identity. Adjacent to it, the social hub serves as the cultural heart of the workplace—an open, inviting environment that encourages informal interaction, cross-department dialogue, and daily rejuvenation. Open-plan work areas emphasize adaptability, supporting team efficiency while allowing for future organizational growth. A varied suite of meeting and huddle rooms caters to different modes of communication, from routine discussions to high-level briefings. A refined interior palette—anchored in neutral hues with selective accent tones—creates a calm, contemporary atmosphere suitable for a high-performance headquarters. Carefully planned lighting enhances visual clarity and comfort, while acoustic solutions and sustainable, low-emission materials contribute to a healthy and resilient work environment. By integrating functional planning with brand expression and human-centered design, the Scan Global Logistics Shanghai Office delivers an efficient, forward-looking workplace that supports collaboration, innovation, and long-term corporate development.
