FUZHOU RONGFA RIVERS OF GLORY

This project is located in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, with a mixture of landscapes represented by mountains and the sea. The Minjiang River and the sea endow Fuzhou with surging vitality. Since ancient times, this place has been a witness to a thriving academic culture. Based on the inquisitive spirit of modern Fujian scholars in pursuit of knowledge, we travel back a thousand years and bring the academic atmosphere of Zhengfeng Academy to the project, located on the eastern part of Nantai Island, Sanjiangkou, Cangshan District, a cultural highland in Fuzhou. We aim to bring spiritual freedom to Fuzhou with a calm and balanced lifestyle.

The project explores value in space and detail. The landscape design language reproduces the details and beauty of classical Tsinghua’s architecture, extracting arches and circular elements, symbolizing the inheritance and innovative spirit of Tsinghua's "action speaks louder than words, humanity advances with the times," and incorporating the "arch" as a design element into landscape details. Drawing inspiration from the three spatial depths of Aofeng Academy, an immersive homecoming route is created.

The entrance features a 120-meter interface combined with metal decorations, luxury stones, and Podocarpus macrophyllus, exuding a noble academic atmosphere. The artistic water court creates a flowing water scenery with Fuding black stones, complemented by selected red-fruited holly, creating an ambiance of culture. The cascading water feature wall continues the arch aesthetics, dotted with translucent stones. The Elegant Court blends Oriental aesthetics with natural art through corridors winding around water, creating a tranquil homecoming experience with water and trees intertwined.
