About The Entry

Located beneath Lingxi Peak in Anji, Zhejiang, this 302㎡ villa showroom reinterprets the concept of “Wild Luxury” through the integration of nature, materiality, and contemporary living aesthetics. Inspired by Anji’s mountainous landscape, bamboo forests, and rich cultural atmosphere, the project creates a living environment that balances wilderness and refinement, offering a new lifestyle expression for the emerging elite class of northern Zhejiang.

The design preserves the natural relationship between architecture and landscape while moving away from conventional notions of excessive luxury. Instead, it emphasizes emotional warmth, spatial vitality, and the raw energy of natural materials. Black stone surfaces contrast with the warm textures of natural wood, creating a dialogue between coolness and warmth, strength and softness. Subtle metallic details introduce understated sophistication while maintaining the calm and grounded atmosphere of the space.

The living, dining, and kitchen areas are designed as a unified open-plan composition. Full-height glazing maximizes natural light and visually extends the interior toward the surrounding landscape, enhancing both openness and tranquility. At the center of the space, a sculptural spiral staircase acts as both an architectural focal point and a symbolic transition between different emotional experiences within the home.

Descending into the lower-level reception lounge, the atmosphere becomes more intimate and immersive. Inspired by the textures of mountain rock and natural terrain, the space expresses a deeper connection to nature and regional cultural identity.

Rather than focusing on ornamentation, the project explores the relationship between people, materials, light, and nature, ultimately creating a contemporary living space defined by cultural depth, vitality, and timeless elegance.
