Grounded in a fifteen-year foundation of trust between designer and client, the home is artfully redefined for a serene next chapter, the retirement life. An approach of subtraction guides the design, uniting sustainable living with nature. By reconfiguring the 30-ping layout, the design minimizes interior walls to optimize lines of sight and circulation. This maximizes natural daylight and cross-ventilation, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and energy consumption to foster a low-impact lifestyle.

Transforming the original three-bedroom layout into two bedrooms unleashes an open sense of scale within the public domain. Sightlines extend smoothly along a horizontal axis, seamlessly connecting the expansive windows with the riverine green. Here, the landscape transcends a mere backdrop, integrating into the very fabric of daily life to shape an unbounded, fluid living experience.
