Mystery of Blue and White: Immersive Exhibition Spac

The "Mystery of Blue and White" is an immersive exhibition space concept design developed around fragments of blue-and-white porcelain from the Imperial Kiln. Beginning with the historical premise that rejected imperial porcelain was shattered and buried, only to regain value through archaeological discovery centuries later, the project transforms fragments from symbols of incompleteness into the starting point of spatial narrative. It constructs a viewing journey that moves from historical remains, the imperial kiln site, and the microscopic world of porcelain to the growth of decorative patterns and, ultimately, spiritual sublimation.

The design unfolds through five spatial realms: the Realm of Fragments, the Realm of the Imperial Kiln, the Realm of Sumeru, the Realm of the Flower Deities, and the Realm of Infinity. The Realm of Fragments begins with a contrast between past and present. By juxtaposing contemporary exhibition language with ruin-like textures, it creates a layered sense of time, allowing visitors to first perceive the transformation of porcelain fragments from buried remnants to objects of renewed value. The Realm of the Imperial Kiln reconstructs the scene of the Imperial Kiln through a modern spatial language, transforming porcelain-making processes, kiln memories, and historical information into an immersive spatial setting. The Realm of Sumeru uses a shift in scale to guide visitors from the exterior of the vessel into the glaze structure and material texture of porcelain. The Realm of the Flower Deities takes the extension and recomposition of shattered porcelain fragments as its narrative thread, combining translucent gauze, poetic verses, and blue-and-white motifs to create a poetic space where patterns seem to spread and grow from the fragments. The Realm of Infinity transforms the continuous border patterns of blue-and-white porcelain into a spiraling sculptural installation, forming a final image of endless vitality.

Through spatial form, material contrast, lighting atmosphere, and an immersive circulation route, the project enables visitors to experience, through movement, the value-seeking journey of blue-and-white porcelain from "flawed" to "priceless".
