About The Entry
Inspired by the thousand-year-old canal of Linqing, the design translates the rhythm of water into a spatial framework. Circulation paths follow the logic of canal tributaries, connecting key nodes and creating a sequence of continuously changing views, allowing residents to experience a fluid sense of arrival.
Based on traditional landscape painting, the garden is organized as a “Four Gardens, Nine Scenes” system, integrating Haitang culture with Eastern aesthetics. The spatial composition is defined by restraint and layering, where stone, planting, and architectural edges form a calm and continuous landscape, punctuated by a single white ash tree as a moment of spatial pause.
The entrance sequence emphasizes transition rather than display, guiding movement from urban exterior to an interior world of calm. Courtyards, corridors, water, and planting are interwoven into everyday spatial scenes, while abstracted natural imagery—mountains, valleys, streams, bridges, and waterfalls—forms a continuous background language.
The project is developed through close coordination between design and construction, where spatial intent and material realization evolve together over time. The final landscape is shaped by precise material articulation, spatial rhythm, and environmental continuity, creating a coherent residential environment that integrates architecture, landscape, and nature.
