About The Entry
The project is designed with the concept of “Chongqing Forest,” drawing inspiration from the parallel ridge-and-valley landform and offering a contemporary interpretation of landscape, woodland, and light. The design adopts a modern natural style, with forest green as the primary tone. Warm-toned marble is widely used in material expression, creating a texture that balances wilderness and refinement.
Located in the heart of the city, the project faces challenges related to heavy traffic and noise pollution. The design responds by introducing sunken courtyards as natural buffers, combined with micro-topography and dense vegetation to mitigate noise impact. This strategy improves environmental comfort within the core urban setting and creates a calmer arrival experience within a dense city context.
In terms of ecological design, an enclosed atrium landscape is formed to simulate a natural forest environment. Native species such as holly and Chinese tallow tree are introduced, along with a 12-meter waterfall and a circular forest salon space, shaping an immersive green setting for everyday living.
The project explores the integration of ecological landscape strategies and environmental mitigation in sunken courtyards, creating a residential experience where urban intensity and natural tranquility coexist, and offering a forest-inspired living environment within the city.
