About The Entry
The landscape design of Xingyao Jade Coral is inspired by the theme of "Literary Heart and Oceanic Waves." By blending the profound cultural heritage of the land with cutting-edge international aesthetics, it aims to create an "Artistic Luxury Sanctuary" on the fertile soil of Gongchen Bridge East—a place where beauty blooms like coral. The design pays homage to the geometric aesthetics of I.M. Pei while drawing on the relaxed resort essence of the Four Seasons Hotels in Bangkok and Kyoto. Through spatial storytelling and the interplay of light and shadow, it constructs an ideal living environment that is meant to be seen, explored, and rested in.
The spatial creation follows a narrative logic of "Ceremony—Transition—Wandering." The journey home begins with a warm, ritualistic arrival. The entrance gate draws inspiration from luxury hotels, using a set-back design and enclosing landscape walls to create a tranquil and prestigious prelude. As one moves forward, the covered walkway acts as a gentle link along the return route, seamlessly connecting with the "Wandering Screen" encountered at the corners. This transitional space cleverly shifts the atmosphere from urban hustle to inner peace. Eventually, the view opens up to a central water courtyard, where irregular stone slabs and shimmering water integrate a daily sense of vacation into every ripple, creating a balanced experience of leisure and living.
In terms of planting, the design carefully selects rare trees and fragrant flora to build six layered botanical landscapes, ensuring that the changing seasons always offer a picturesque view. Through the delicate crafting of water features and seasonal planting, alongside the integration of all-age-friendly spaces, it achieves a seamless coexistence between humanity and nature. This is not merely a dialogue between architecture and landscape, but a profound portrayal of a relaxed, elegant, and poetic life. It allows every resident to find a sanctuary for both body and mind amidst the ever-changing scenery.
