The DESCENTE AEROLITE SKIN JACKET is an ultra-light running shell designed around one clear principle: remove unnecessary weight and complexity while preserving the performance runners truly need.

Its core material is a highly elastic three-layer knitted fabric, developed to overcome the stiffness commonly found in conventional three-layer shells. The fabric delivers stretch, wind protection and moisture permeability while remaining exceptionally light. Inspired by the thin, feather-like structure of a cicada wing, the jacket achieves a barely-there wearing sensation, giving rise to the concept of the “Cicada Wing Shell.”

The garment is built with a 3D pattern that follows the body’s natural movement during running. By reducing unnecessary seams and relocating construction away from high-friction areas, the jacket minimizes pulling and restriction. Melting construction further reduces bulk and creates a cleaner, lighter three-dimensional structure.

A gender-specific packable system enhances mobility and portability. The men’s jacket integrates a packable pocket near the side area, while the women’s version incorporates the storage function into the back of the hood, allowing the garment itself to transform into a compact carrying form.
