About The Entry
By transforming aerospace thermal technology into an everyday apparel solution, the Aerospace Technology Cotton Jacket redefines winter outerwear beyond traditional bulky silhouettes and single-purpose functionality. Inspired by the spirit of aerospace exploration and the natural aesthetics of China National Geographic, the design integrates advanced thermal performance with contemporary lifestyle expression.
Designed for commuting, outdoor activities, and casual occasions, the jacket adopts a “one garment for multiple scenarios” concept, reducing the need for separate winter clothing while creating a versatile and sustainable approach to modern thermal wear.
The key innovation lies in bringing high-efficiency aerospace thermal insulation technology into everyday apparel. By applying a structural heat-locking principle, the jacket enhances warm-air retention while achieving a precise balance between lightweight construction and high thermal performance.
Self-developed Wool 2.0 technical cotton filling combines 20% premium wool with functional polyester fibers in a scientifically optimized formulation. It retains wool’s natural thermoregulating, warming, moisture-absorbing, and breathable properties, while optimized fiber structuring addresses the common issues of clumping and difficult care associated with conventional wool filling.
Based on the distribution patterns of human thermophysiology, the jacket introduces an ergonomic gradient-zoned filling system. Aerospace thermal insulation material is concentrated in the core torso area, with increased filling density to strengthen heat retention, while the limb and movement zones use Wool 2.0 technical cotton with optimized filling ratios to enhance flexibility. Through differentiated material and filling strategies, a stable thermal layer is created around the body’s core heat-generating zones, while reducing bulk around the joints. The result is high warmth with reduced weight, delivering a lighter and more agile wearing experience.
Inspired by mountains, glaciers, and deep-space landscapes captured by China National Geographic, the jacket moves beyond the homogenized aesthetics of conventional outdoor cotton jackets, characterized by dull colors, monotonous forms, and limited material expression. By bringing together technological expression and natural aesthetics, the design extracts low-saturation colors from natural environments, shifting functional apparel from a purely utilitarian role toward a more lifestyle-oriented form of expression. The streamlined hooded jacket silhouette eliminates unnecessary decoration and enhances body proportion through precise tailoring.
