Haicheng Jinkai Villa

Centered around an ecological lake of approximately 4,000 square meters, the project creates an immersive, art-infused natural community defined by a "one lake, multiple loops" layout. A five-stage spatial sequence guides the transition from the urban interface to the serene lakeside, where the water serves as the natural core, harmonizing the interplay of light, water, and woodland.

At the lake's center, an art pavilion inspired by the *Cornus kousa* (dogwood) blossom appears to float like petals upon the water; dappled light filters through, establishing a spiritual landmark. An infinity-edge mirror pool blends architecture with the sky, while transparent viewing windows reveal the underwater ecosystem—a self-sustaining micro-habitat where the water nourishes both flora and aquatic life. Floating island gardens and suspended walkways, crafted from integrated natural stone, seamlessly blend leisure spaces with the waterscape. Olive trees, conifers, and lavender weave together an Impressionist-style tableau; the children's playground tells the story of seed dispersal, while treehouses and sandy zones inspire exploration. Thoughtful greenery at the entrances allows nature to permeate daily life.

The landscape is crafted with architectural precision, featuring meticulously cut stone and advanced digital fabrication techniques. The lake regulates the microclimate and purifies the water, bringing nature back into everyday living. Through the symbiosis of water and greenery, the project creates an urban sanctuary that balances artistic aesthetics with ecological functionality—turning the journey home into a scenic voyage.
