About The Entry

The inspiration emerges from an invisible Mexico: the silence of black clay workshops, the shadows of Mayan cosmogony, and the intact sobriety of ancestral craftsmanship. A perspective that deliberately moves away from superficial folklore to focus on what truly matters: matter, tactility, and light. From this vision arises the concept of the sacred container. A matte black silhouette, elegant and singular, designed to belong equally on a table, behind a bar, or on a collector’s shelf. Casa Maia is conceived not as a conventional bottle, but as a vessel. An object that carries meaning, presence, and time. The development process began with the careful selection of the bottle’s form, followed by the exploration of full-body matte finishes and the creation of subtle illustrations that evoke Mexico’s natural landscape and ancestral spirit. Every decision was guided by restraint and intention, allowing the material itself to speak. The result is a piece that dialogues with the idea of a primordial Mexican vessel, where mystery, texture, and shadow reflect the mastery and depth of the tequila it contains. More than packaging, Casa Maia becomes a symbolic object. One that invites pause in a context of visual noise and accelerated consumption. A design that does not seek immediate impact, but gradual discovery. In Casa Maia, the container honors origin without repeating it, respects tradition without freezing it, and transforms tequila once again into a ritual object, charged with memory and meaning.
